At Little Margate, we really pride ourselves on child-led learning. We believe children learn best when they have a voice in what they do, can follow their interests and have opportunities to explore, experiment, make choices and get hands-on.
Child-led learning can help children to:
Build confidence and independence
Develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Encourage communication and collaboration
Explore creativity and imagination
Develop resilience through trying, adapting and having another go
Feel a genuine sense of ownership and achievement
And, of course, learning doesn’t always need to look like sitting at a desk! Our sessions give children the opportunity to learn through nature, practical activities, creativity, exploration and real-life experiences.
ALL Home educated children are very welcome to join us!

Home Education Club – Ridden Session
Our Wednesday ridden session takes place from 10am to 12pm and is £32. This session involves a ridden session with our highly qualified riding coach and also stable management sessions, which includes learning about horses and the care they require. We aim to ensure children develop a greater understanding of horses and ponies as well as learning to or improving their riding.
All bookings are taken via Ec Pro (please add a rider even if doing the non ridden sessions) information on how to sign up can be found here – Booking – Little Margate Equestrian
